OUR MISSION
The Ohel Fellowship aims to create a space for connection, empathy, and understanding among Jewish and Muslim teens through honest, meaningful, and nuanced dialogue, intensive learning about one anothers' cultures, religions, and histories, and to cultivate a sense of unity during a time of division. We believe that the first step to coexistence, fighting division, antisemitism, and islamophobia, is hope and honest dialogue.
THE FELLOWSHIP
Bi-Weekly Sessions
We host different Muslim and Jewish religious, social, and political speakers, learn about and discuss religion, culture, society, politics, and history. Some sessions are focused on learning and analysis from different texts, sources, and history, while we take on different personal, religious, social, and political conversations in others, sharing our perspectives with one another and investigating our own perspectives.
August Retreat
On our potential August retreat in NYC, Fellows will explore different Muslim and Jewish neighborhoods, religious centers, eat cultural foods together, live together, and aim to learn as much as we can about one another, our cultures, and our perspectives.
